CNN: Hospital markup on supplies can be big

CNN: "When Dr. Linda Galloway learned she needed surgery to save her vision, she scheduled the procedure immediately with her opthamologist. And what an eye-opener it was - when the hospital bill arrived." The bill included a charge of $863 for a pair of disposable forceps, which cost $192 at a medical supply company. The American Hospital Association responds that costs of supplies include overhead and other costs. This video is part one of a two part series called "Prescription for Waste" (Cohen, 4/27).
