2010 Independence Expo to promote active living and independence for aged and disabled Americans

United Spinal Association presents the 2010 Independence Expo – Long Island, the region's premier lifestyle-enhancing Expo designed to promote active living and independence for all people with disabilities and aging Americans.

The Independence Expo –Long Island will be held on Friday, June 25th & Saturday, June 26th at the Suffolk County Community College Sports & Exhibition Complex in Brentwood, NY and is free and open to the public.

Contemporary disability-related workshops and demonstrations, designed to educate and liberate will be conducted throughout the 2-day event and include among others:

The Independence Expo also features over 80 Vendor Exhibits that offer the perfect opportunity to see and try cutting-edge products that enhance ability and sustain mobility.

United Spinal recently joined the "Open Arms––Raising Awareness of Upper Limb Spasticity" educational campaign, partnering with BOTOX® maker Allergan, Inc.

Leading Neurologist Dr. Atul Patel will be in attendance and present information on proper treatment options for individuals living with upper limb spasticity, which affects people with various disabilities and disorders, including multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury and stroke.
