Emerging health care models and approaches discussed at 2010 Health Care Conference

Dr. Sanford J. Siegel, president and CEO of Chesapeake Urology Associates, Maryland, was a featured panelist at the 2010 Health Care Conference for health care community executives, held at the BWI Marriott in Baltimore on June 7, 2010.

Hospital and health care executives and those from supporting organizations like accounting and law firms heard discussion on emerging health care models and approaches toward the delivery of quality, cost-effective and accessible services in Maryland's unique regulatory and reimbursement environment with the collaboration of payers, providers and government. An address by keynote speaker Chet Burrell, president and CEO of CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, preceded the panel discussion. The panel included Siegel and Burrell, as well as John M. Colmers, secretary of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Carmela Coyle, CEO of the Maryland Hospital Association.
