Solta Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: SLTM), a global leader in the medical aesthetics market, today announced that it has been included on the list of preliminary additions to the Russell 3000® Index and the Russell Global® Index posted by Russell Investments on June 11, 2010 on www.russell.com. These changes are expected to go into effect after the close of trading on Friday, June 25, 2010. All Russell indexes are subindexes of the Global Index.
"Solta's preliminary addition to the Russell 3000 Index is a positive step for our shareholders and will help increase awareness of our Company," said Stephen J. "Inclusion in the Russell 3000 should allow us to expand our range of potential institutional investors as we look to increase our market presence domestically and abroad."
The Russell 3000 Index measures the performance of the 3,000 largest publicly-traded U.S. companies, representing approximately 98% of the U.S. equity market. The Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for passive and active investment strategies. The indexes are reconstituted annually.
