Biomimetic Therapeutics to discuss Augment Bone Graft data results at AOFAS meeting

BioMimetic Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: BMTI) today announced its schedule of events at the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) summer meeting being held at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland from July 7 - 10, 2010.

Symposium and 52 Week Data Results

The Company will host a symposium entitled The Emerging Role of Biologics in Foot and Ankle Surgery on Wednesday, July 7 from 8:50 a.m. - 10:20 a.m. EDT in the National Harbor 4 Conference Room. The symposium will focus on the role of rhPDGF-BB for bone healing in foot and ankle surgery and will feature several U.S. and Canadian clinical investigators.

Final data from the Company's recently completed phase III pivotal clinical trial comparing Augment™ Bone Graft to autograft in hindfoot and ankle fusions will be reviewed by Dr. Timothy Daniels, one of the Company's clinical investigators, from 9:30 - 9:45 during the symposium on July 7.

Dr. Nicholas Abidi will discuss results of a study identifying the costs related to harvesting autograft in foot and ankle fusions. Dr. Adibi's presentation entitled Cost Analysis of Autologous Bone Graft Harvesting in Foot and Ankle Fusions: Results of a Cross Sectional Survey will take place on July 7 from 7:25 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.

Additionally, BioMimetic will host a commercial exhibit booth #309 at the hotel and convention center in the Exhibit Hall, Maryland Conference Room from July 7 - 10.

The Company plans to release the results presented at AOFAS, along with nine month data from its Augment European trial, in a press release on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. The Company will host a conference call and audio webcast to discuss the data at 10:30 a.m. EDT Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Dr. Timothy Daniels and Dr. Sheldon Lin will be available on the call for a Q&A session regarding the released data.
