Tradeline's 4th Annual Academic Medical & Health Science Centers Conference to be held on Nov 15-16th

Planning and operational management teams from medical schools, university affiliated hospitals, and academic health science centers across the country will meet at Tradeline's 4th Annual Academic Medical & Health Science Centers Conference November 15-16th at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale, Arizona, to chart out strategies for the changing health care model.  A special pre-conference tour of the new Phoenix Biomedical Campus, including a unique demonstration of telemedicine, will be conducted on November 14th.

The conference addresses the new academic program and facilities initiatives that are transforming the efficiencies, financial strength, and competitiveness of academic medical and health science centers.  Subjects on the agenda include: raising efficiencies for education, research, and clinical care; maximizing space utilization; making the best use of limited capital funds; enforcing shared-resource strategies; prioritizing programs for growth; lowering costs for capital projects and operations; profiting from new medical and scientific technology; and increasing capacities.

Among the 25 different sessions at the conference are reports on new initiatives from University of Florida Health Science Center and Shands Healthcare, The Ohio State University Hospitals, University of Colorado Denver, US Department of Veterans Affairs, University of Chicago Medical Center, Stephen F. Austin State University, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Lowell Community Health Center, Morehouse School of Medicine, East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, Duke University Medical Center, Florida International University, National University of Singapore, Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Medical College of Georgia, and many more.

As well, The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) will examine new financial and legislative developments that should inform high-level strategic decision making.
