ITelagen to host, support and manage EHR for Allergy and Asthma Associates

ITelagen, a leading provider of electronic health record (EHR) hosting and management announced that it was selected by Allergy and Asthma Associates of Northern California, San Jose, CA to host, support and manage EHR for their medical practice. The solution includes hosting of patient data in ITelagen's SAS-70 Type II certified datacenter and unlimited IT support for staff members.

With adoption of EHR, Allergy and Asthma Associates want to focus on delivering healthcare while leaving the information technology management to the experts. Hosting EHR remotely provides an affordable means of delivering vital patient information to caregivers, anytime and anywhere, without the need to purchase servers or hire new IT personnel. This application service provider (ASP) delivery model also speeds deployment of the technology and is becoming an increasingly important option for mid-size and independent practices.

"Our physicians want to be able to focus on the patient and providing excellent patient care, not maintaining complex IT systems," said Patricia Cunnane, Executive Director of Allergy and Asthma Associates. "We are very excited to be implementing EHR technology into our practice and happy to have ITelagen as a partner that can provide us with the secure hosting, HIPAA-compliant security and support by expert technicians."

"These are exciting times for healthcare and ITelagen is thrilled to be participating in Allergy and Asthma Associates' EHR adoption," said John O'Keefe, Chief Executive Officer of ITelagen. "Through the ease of ITelagen's ASP hosting model and our expertise in EHR, we're making it easier for mid-sized physician practices such as Allergy and Asthma Associates' to adopt EHR technology."
