Health Net Federal Services to sponsor AMVETS Symposium

Health Net Federal Services, LLC, part of the Government Contracts segment of Health Net, Inc. (NYSE:HNT), is honored to sponsor the American Veterans (AMVETS) 2010 Symposium for 21st Century Veterans in Louisville, Ky., August 9-11, 2010. The 2010 AMVETS Symposium will bring together more than 100 young Veterans to help develop a new comprehensive report on important issues such as reintegration, health care and benefits.

The goals of the AMVETS Symposium are to bring together a cross-section of post-9/11 Veterans from diverse backgrounds to participate in the discussion, identify new problems that have arisen since the last AMVETS Symposium in 2006, and produce a comprehensive report to guide AMVETS and other agencies in meeting the needs of the newest generation of Veterans. The Symposium is held in conjunction with the AMVETS 66th National Convention, which is attended by Veterans, their spouses, children and grandchildren.

AMVETS is the nation's largest all-inclusive, congressionally chartered, Veterans Service Organization. Its membership consists of active duty service men and women and all honorably discharged Veterans from any of the Armed Force Services (including Reserves and National Guard) since World War II.
