HOYA ConBio™, a global leader in dental and aesthetic lasers, today announced an extension of its sponsorship agreement with the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), the pioneer in live-patient, post-graduate dental training. The agreement ensures that VersaWave™ and DioDent™ Micro 980 lasers will continue to be featured at LVI's advanced teaching facilities through 2013.

VersaWave™ and DioDent™ Micro 980 lasers are featured at LVI's state-of-the-art 62,000 square-foot headquarters, the largest and most comprehensive post-doctoral dental educational facility. The clinic features two 10-operatory teaching clinics, a 60 bench hands-on workshop and six lecture halls. The ever-expanding curriculum includes courses on restorative, occlusal and aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics, implants, endodontic procedures, sleep apnea, laboratory and practice management. HOYA ConBio lasers are also featured at LVI Global , Australia.

The VersaWave™ Erbium hard-tissue laser is used for state-of-the-art instruction in soft tissue smile design, smile lift procedures, frenectomies and hard tissue application in closed flap, open flap and pre-prosthetic surgical procedures. The DioDent™ Micro 980 is a next-generation diode laser for use in a wide variety of procedures, including excisional and incisional biopsies, fibroma removal, gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, oral papillectomies and sulcular debridement.
