Burton Medical, Inc., the leader in examination and minor surgery lighting equipment, has received FDA clearance for its AIM-200® O.R. light for surgical lighting applications in operating rooms for ambulatory surgical centers as well as acute care facilities.
First introduced this past May, the AIM-200 O.R. has been a preferred choice for minor surgery applications, but now has been cleared as a major surgical device with FDA Class II clearance. This includes applications in ambulatory surgical centers, hospital emergency departments, and demanding applications in dermatology, plastic and reconstructive surgery. Product is available in four mounting options, including floor, wall, single and double ceiling mountings. In addition, the AIM-200 O.R. features a 360-degree rotation in its flexible, self-balancing arm-and-mounting-system, which provide a maximum reach of 63 inches and a diameter of 10 feet.
Ideal for long hours of use, the AIM-200 O.R. is equipped with three 35-watt IRC halogen bulbs, which together produce an amazing 90,000 Lux at a distance of one (1) meter. With a color-rendering index (CRI) of 96 and color temperature of 3700K, the AIM-200 O.R. helps to enhance a physician's vision during minor and major surgery by providing a clear, crisp, natural light. The unique Y-shaped design helps to minimize the obstruction of light into the surgical field, offering a larger and adjustable light pattern without casting shadows. Additional features include an easily replaceable bulb system and a sterilizable handle. Assembled in the United States, the AIM-200 O.R. is supported by a five-year limited warranty.
