Scrip, a leading global pharmaceutical and biotech news organization, honored Abbott (NYSE: ABT) with two 2010 Scrip Awards for its business excellence and strong management.

Abbott received awards for Pharma Company of the Year and Management Team of the Year at Scrip's sixth annual awards ceremony in London on Thursday evening. The Scrip Awards recognize excellence and achievement in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. In 2009, Scrip recognized Mr. White as Executive of the Year.
Scrip recognized Abbott as the Pharma Company of the Year and Management Team of the Year for the company's continued strong financial performance, emerging markets strategy, new product launches and diverse pipeline.
2010 Recognition
Abbott secured numerous significant awards and honors from other prominent organizations, which recognized its business, scientific, citizenship and workplace leadership in 2010:
Business Leadership: Abbott was named the Most Admired Company in its industry sector in 2010 by FORTUNE magazine. The company also ranked among the top 25 World's Most Respected Companies by Barron's magazine.
Scientific Innovation: Abbott was named a winner of the 2010 Chicago Innovation Award for its ARCHITECT HIV Ag/Ab Combo assay.
