U.S. Preventive Services Task Force expected to announce open positions shortly

CQ HealthBeat: "The agency that oversees the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force is likely to announce soon that it will accept nominations for open positions until Nov. 29. … The task force members are independent experts who serve for four-year terms, with the opportunity for an extension of up to two years. The decisions that the group makes are intended to be evidence-based recommendations to the public. Some insurance companies base their coverage decisions on the guidance it presents." The task force members are selected by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (Adams, 11/8).
