Confidisc introduces new anti-illegal drug syringe

ConfiDisc's anti-illegal drug syringe is an integral part of its syringe injection system. The disc, which is attached to the hub of a syringe device, acts as a physical barrier. It restricts the view of the user and disallows the proper injection angle needed for intravenous injection. It is virtually impossible to inject at the necessary angle since the disc's edge contacts the skin's surface before the needle. Any attempt to remove the disc will render the device inoperable. ConfiDisc® could help eliminate a large percentage of the one billion syringes that enter the illegal drug market annually.

ConfiDisc® may be manufactured with an R.F.I.D. Easily identifiable and easily found. Tracked from manufacture to disposal. As manufactured today, a standard syringe has the capability to go through clothing and penetrate soft tissue, becoming lethal. The disc not only makes ConfiDisc® more convenient, it controls the depth of injection due to its radius and surface area. ConfiDisc® may be fitted to any existing syringe during, or after, manufacture.

ConfiDisc® injection system can also play a major role in reducing the over 590,000 sharp injuries reported to the Department of Labor each year. Innovators at ConfiDisc® believe their new injection system will help make the 6.6 billion syringes consumed each year in the U.S. safer and more convenient. "We feel ConfiDisc® is the next generation of syringe, benefiting all Americans," said Chris Hillios, chief innovator at ConfiDisc®. The ConfiDisc® injection system will help make the lives of those who now face daily injections a little easier, all while being an effective tool in the war on illicit drug use.
