FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. will be showcasing Synapse® Mobility, its zero footprint mobile application enabling remote access to Fujifilm's suite of Synapse products from hand-held mobile devices, as well as Macintosh- or Windows-based PCs. Differentiated from other mobile applications by its ability to display high quality, interactive three dimensional medical images in any platform that it's accessed, Synapse Mobility will be among the complete line-up of Synapse products from Fujifilm demonstrated at the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2011 Annual Conference and Exhibition.
Radiologists and referring physicians can now have on-the-go access to the images and information stored in Synapse® PACS, Synapse® RIS and Synapse® Cardiovascular using the Web browser of their choice, increasing accessibility to patient information and improving workflow. The medical staff at Columbus-based Ohio Health recently conducted a clinical evaluation of Synapse Mobility noting the numerous efficiency and patient care benefits the new application will offer the busy departments within its multiple hospitals and clinics.
"During our evaluation, Synapse Mobility provided our physicians with instant access to patient information using iPads and other hand-held devices, allowing for faster decision making and improved patient care," explained Dr. Mrunal Shah, Vice President, Physician Technology Services at Ohio Health. "We have already seen Synapse Mobility afford our consultants and primary care physicians alike with tremendous time savings during exams and triage which is helping us provide the best possible care while also increasing our patient stratification."
Available on a wide variety of products including on iPads®, iPhones® and Android™ Smartphones, Synapse® Mobility is readily deployed because it is browser independent and scalable, providing facilities with virtually an unlimited number of users. It provides advanced viewing capabilities for physicians to view 3D imagines as well as to be able to zoom, window and level, and use MIP/MPR just as they would do at a clinical workstation.
In addition to Synapse Mobility, Fujifilm will also be featuring its full range of medical informatics products including Synapse 3D at the 2011 HIMSS conference in Orlando, Fla. For more information on these products visit booth number 4750 or log on to www.fujimed.com.
