Maricom opens third office in Lutherville

Maricom Systems, Inc. (www.maricom.com) continues its expansion and growth as it announced today the opening of the company's third office in Lutherville, Maryland. The new location will support the company's Business Development and Healthcare IT sectors. Maricom's other locations are in Woodlawn, the corporate headquarters, and Annapolis Junction, the Office of Classified Programs.

Maricom currently employs over 300 staff and contractors in Baltimore County, creating more than 150 new jobs in 2010 alone. Maricom's staff covers a broad range of technical expertise, from software engineers, and data architects, to systems administrators, and technical writers. Integral to the company's success is their investment in the process required to attract and retain highly motivated employees, and to cultivate the power of their skill and experience.

To that end, Maricom views local institutions of higher learning as a valuable resource, and works continually to foster a solid relationship between academia and business to establish a good working model for recruiting potential employees.

"We appreciate Maricom System's commitment in engaging with higher education partners such as Stevenson University so that we can collaborate in preparing graduates for career opportunities," said Art Taguding, Executive Director of Career Services, Stevenson University.

"Our colleges and universities are a goldmine for recruiting technology workers that support Maricom's growing healthcare IT business," said Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz.  "Maricom is part of a community of federal contractors that benefits from being just minutes from top decision-makers at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services headquarters in Woodlawn."
