Black Diamond Video, Inc. (BDV) has completed installation of its state-of-the-art Integrated Digital Surgical Suite (IDSS) video and audio solutions in Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center's new John T. O'Connell Tower. The IDSS systems are utilized in Saint Francis' 17 main operating rooms and hybrid suites and in 6 operating rooms for the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute.
The IDSS is expected to enhance the quality and efficiency of care delivered by Saint Francis' surgical, nursing, radiology, and clinical engineering teams by providing user-friendly, high-resolution video routing, audio routing, multi-windowing, and collaboration capabilities. Pleased to utilize the IDSS, Jeffrey Steinberg, M.D., Chairman of the Department of Surgery, commented, "Our staff is impressed with the Black Diamond Video Integrated Digital Surgical Suite and we look forward to benefitting from our leading-edge operating rooms, offering the highest level of care to our patients, and enhancing our teaching program."

They showed a high degree of flexibility in working with all of our current and planned systems at the Hospital."
