Reuters: Costlier Prostate Cancer Treatments Gain Popularity
Newer technologies for treating prostate cancer have surged in popularity in the last decade — and they have come with a hefty price tag, according to a report published this week. Researchers estimate that the increased use of certain prostate cancer treatments, such as less invasive surgery and advanced radiation therapy, tacked on an additional $350 million in health care spending in one year alone.
