Peregrine partners with WellAWARE to improve quality of care for seniors

WellAWARE Systems, the leading developer of next-generation wellness solutions for care providers, announced today that Peregrine Health Management Company (Peregrine) will utilize WellAWARE to enhance the focus of delivering proactive and preventative care to its senior living residents. The first property to install WellAWARE is Symphony Manor, located in Baltimore, Maryland.

"Peregrine is committed to fostering a new paradigm of care for our seniors and WellAWARE has proven it is capable of helping us deliver on that goal," said Bob Collins, Director of Operations for Peregrine Health Management Company. "We have worked extensively with WellAWARE at our Landing at the Shoreline property where we utilized WellAWARE in part, due to its ability to evaluate sleep quality within our resident population. The sleep study results speak for themselves - WellAWARE is able to truly measure quality of sleep and not just presence in bed. We were able to detect a broad range of resident issues due to identified sleep disturbances. We're excited about being one of the first to market this technology. It will help us provide a new standard of care focused on prevention and wellness."

WellAWARE's advanced "smart sensor" solution supports caregivers by providing proactive information about resident physiological data such as sleep quality, bathroom visits, bathing, activity levels and more. By responding proactively to trends, that may indicate emerging health conditions, caregivers can improve wellness related outcomes.

"We are excited to partner with Peregrine as it looks to improve quality of care for seniors through innovative technology and personalized services while offering greater peace of mind for family members," said Jeff Noce, CEO of WellAWARE Systems. "We are committed to promoting safety, wellness and independence for seniors. By working with innovative providers like Peregrine, we are continuing to create a new standard of care for seniors, whether they live in their home or in a senior living facility."
