CarePoint Partners, one of the largest, fastest growing independent home infusion therapy companies in the United States, launched a food drive today throughout its twenty-one locations in eight states to help the less fortunate in the communities where it operates. Called the "Got Food?" campaign, the drive will be conducted throughout the month of April. CarePoint Partners is partnering with its healthcare provider customers like hospitals and doctors' offices to collect the food and is also using its offices as local drop-off stations. All food collected is being donated to local food banks for distribution to the needy.
The "Got Food?" campaign was inspired by the company's Nutrition Now program, which provides nutrition care in a home environment. "We know that well-nourished people respond better to medical treatment and report an improved quality of life," says Nutrition Now program manager, Marianne Duda, MS, RD, LD/N, CNSD. We are hopeful that our food drive will not just feed the hungry, but will also draw attention to the important role that nutrition plays for those who suffer from related disorders."
