Just weeks after launching a national sales campaign, Digital Assent, provider of the award-winning PatientPad® self-service patient check-in and patient education solution (www.patient-pad.com), has signed its 100th PatientPad customer and expanded its point-of-care network to 15 states.
The PatientPad is now available in Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas. The company expects to receive signed agreements from another 20 customers in five additional states by month's end.
"We are thrilled to see such rapid and widespread national adoption of the PatientPad," said Andrew Ibbotson, president and CEO of Digital Assent. "Spurred by an industry-wide conversion to electronic health records and the exploding popularity of wireless touch-screen devices, the U.S. healthcare market is finally ready for self-service technology solutions like the PatientPad. We're making great progress toward achieving our goal of making the 'patient clipboard' a thing of the past."
The PatientPad is a wireless touch-screen solution that automates the patient check-in process and delivers targeted health information to interested patients while they wait in their healthcare provider's waiting room, exam room or treatment room.
“The PatientPad has been a win-win solution for our practice, and we’re not at all surprised that other practices like ours are wanting to bring it on board as quickly as possible,” said Kim V. Powell, CEO and practice administrator of Marietta Dermatology and The Skin Cancer Center, one of Digital Assent’s early PatientPad customers. “As a practice administrator, I appreciate how it has helped streamline patient intake. Our physicians are impressed with its ability to educate patients while they wait to be seen. Patients find it easy to give us their information and make updates when things change.”
Digital Assent recently closed its Series A round of equity financing and expanded its leadership team. The company will continue to focus on its rapidly growing sales and marketing programs as well as ongoing research and development. With an adoption rate of more than 90 percent, the company's PatientPad point-of-care network is expected to be available nationwide well before the end of the year.
