Nutribar announces partnership with Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
Are you still on that lifelong search for the proverbial 'Fountain of Youth' that delays the effects of getting older? If so, you may be overlooking an important aspect of the aging process itself - the best route to healthy aging can simply be a healthy lifestyle.
This is why Nutribar has introduced Women 50+, a specially designed bar for women seeking to make the most of their paramount years.
With more and more women embracing aging as a normal part of life, the goal is no longer the search for a quick-fix solution to anti-aging, but rather finding a way to look good, feel good and celebrate good health together with longevity. Staying active, getting adequate rest, minimizing stress, avoiding tobacco and eating a healthy diet are all ways to look good, feel good and celebrate good health.
Designed specifically to accommodate a woman's changing figure, Nutribar for Women 50+ tackles the special nutritional needs of those in the prime of their life. In addition, it addresses dietary requirements caused by other changes to a woman's body as she ages, most of which can also contribute to weight gain, including her digestive system, which starts to slow down with age, making it more difficult to break down food and absorb nutrients.
As a woman ages, she becomes less active and her energy needs also drop due to lower activity levels. "Most women don't take this into consideration as they get older, so they start to add on extra weight," said Brenda Embree, Nutribar's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Moreover, many adults over the age of 50 do not get adequate amounts of nutrients, such as calcium, iron and vitamin D."
"By offering a product that is balanced and formulated especially for a woman's current needs, with essential Omega-3 fatty acids, fibre, protein, carbohydrates and fat - but with fewer calories - women can feel confident that they are doing something positive to help reach their look good, feel good goal at any age," she continued.
Partnering for a cause
Meanwhile, Nutribar has also announced its quest to promote good health does not end there. It has partnered with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) to support breast cancer research. The CBCF logo will soon appear on a number of Nutribar packages, including the new Women 50+ product.
In addition to the company's goal of raising $50,000 for breast cancer research through the purchase of specially marked packages of Nutribar, its aim is also to recognize women's concerns about the effects of aging on their bodies.
"We are very excited about our partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and promoting this cause to the Nutribar consumer who is predominantly female," Embree added.
"Many Canadian women have been affected personally or know someone who has been touched by this disease. Our goal is to help educate all women on becoming breast aware, and the importance of early detection in helping increase women's chances of survival from breast cancer."
