Resound to promote awareness campaign on long-term health care planning

Resound Marketing, an NJ Biz Top 20 PR agency specializing in creating storylines which earn national media placement, today announced that it has been selected as the agency of record to promote a summer-long awareness campaign about long-term health care planning, organized by non-profit 3in4 Need More (www.3in4NeedMore.com) and elder care expert Dr. Marion (www.drmarion.com).

The 3in4 Need More campaign kicked off last month with a flash mob in Times Square, and the launch of a $50,000 makeover contest to help those caring for an aging loved one, with coverage in both the national and regional press. It will continue through the summer, as Dr. Marion takes her 60s-era Greyhound bus across the country to talk with seniors and caregivers about planning ahead for long-term care. More than 70% of those 65+ will require some form of long-term care as they age, including extended nursing home stays, assisted living, home health aides, and more. Resound will organize media interviews and coverage in cities across the US throughout the tour, and publicize the campaign on a national level.

"We've had the opportunity to work with Dr. Marion for many years, and seen first-hand how her insight has helped millions better prepare for the impact of aging and caregiving," said Ilana Zalika, agency principal & co-founder at Resound. "We're thrilled to partner with her once again as she works with 3in4 Need More to raise awareness about a subject that is a growing concern as the US population ages, and starts to consider its long-term health care needs."
