SAIC receives USAMRMC contract to provide CDMRP with scientific services

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today it was awarded a follow-on contract by the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) to provide scientific and other support services to the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). The single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a two year base period of performance, three one-year options, and a contract ceiling of more than $61 million if all options are exercised.  Work will be performed primarily in Frederick, Md.

The CDMRP is a unique partnership among the U.S. Congress, the public, and the military to support untapped research opportunities to push science and medicine to the leading edge of innovation by finding and funding the best research. Under the contract, SAIC will continue to collaborate with the CDMRP and provide scientific and funding cycle support of these  research efforts.

"We are pleased to continue our work assisting  the CDMRP as it develops programs that enable health experts to conduct important research, potentially finding cures for diseases that impact all Americans," said Steve Comber, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
