The agreement will provide the 90,000 plus Premier members with access to our extensive range of quality control products and the benefits they offer clinical laboratories. The Acusera range of quality controls is extensive covering over 300 routine and esoteric parameters. Our multi-analyte QC allows laboratories to simplify their quality control practices by dramatically reducing the number of controls used, the consolidation of QC gives the added benefit of cost and time savings. All analytes are present at clinically relevant levels further eliminating the need to purchase additional and often expensive low/high level controls.
With 30 years experience in quality control manufacture; excellent choice, stability and most importantly performance is guaranteed. All controls are manufactured to the highest specifications at our FDA inspected facilities in the United Kingdom, this commitment to quality is emphasised by ISO 13485 accreditation for the development and manufacture of diagnostic test kits.
As a true supplier of third party controls Randox products provide an unbiased, independent assessment of performance. Our unique value assignment process employs over 16,000 laboratories worldwide making our controls the most accurately assigned on the market. To maintain the high quality expected from Randox we add no preservatives or stabilisers to our control products which can often lead to interference problems, inconvenience and expense for the laboratory. In addition to this many of our controls are made from 100% human serum providing a matrix similar to the patient sample and eliminating possible interference with antibody based tests.
Many of our controls have a shelf life of up to four years from the date of manufacture; this not only allows for long term QC monitoring but can significantly reduce costs and the problems associated with changing lot numbers.
Our comprehensive control options include both liquid ready-to-use and lyophilised controls and cover everything from routine chemistries, immunoassays, immunology/proteins, tumour markers, toxicology, cardiology, lipids, urinalysis, coagulation, therapeutic drugs, blood gas and maternal screening to more specialised controls like antioxidants, cytokines and growth factors.
