“This is a significant milestone as it marks our entry into the Canadian market with the VeraTemp thermometer”
"This is a significant milestone as it marks our entry into the Canadian market with the VeraTemp thermometer," said Christopher F. Tirotta, MD, MBA, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Scientific Resources. "ANB Canada has a proven track record of success in the Over-the-Counter industry, offering a dedicated sales team that provides the personal touch while detailing the stores. They provide a wide variety of products to stores throughout Canada and we are delighted with this initial order and look forward to sell through and future orders as they continue to expand the distribution for the VeraTemp in Canada."
Unlike traditional rectal, oral or ear thermometers, which require being placed into a body orifice to gain a temperature reading - or even the "scan" types that require being run across an individual's forehead -- the VeraTemp thermometer is a completely non-contact thermometer. The VeraTemp unit is about the size of a remote control and is powered by two AAA batteries (which are included). To measure a person's body temperature, simply aim at the individual's forehead and press the "Scan" button. In an instant, the VeraTemp measures the forehead and ambient temperature, completes thousands of calculations with a proprietary algorithm, and produces an accurate body temperature reading. The non-contact nature of the VeraTemp enables the users to also take accurate temperatures of inanimate objects like babies' bottle, bath water, food or nursery. The VeraTemp displays its readings on a large back-lit LED screen, reads temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit, has an Auto-off feature to conserve battery life, and has a built in memory that records the last 32 readings taken.
