Mindray to introduce new DC-T6 ultrasound system at RSNA 2011

Mindray Medical International Limited (NYSE: MR), a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices worldwide, today announced that it will introduce the new DC-T6 ultrasound system at the annual Radiological Society of North America conference to be held November 27 -- December 1, 2011 in Chicago. The new system is an affordable, fully featured, high-performance imaging solution with a user-friendly, compact mobile design.

"The DC-T6 offers numerous advanced capabilities while providing exceptional ergonomic solutions for user comfort," said Michael Thompson, Vice President of Ultrasound Sales, Mindray North America. "Innovative and clinical-relevant features are paired with superior imaging performance to maximize diagnostic confidence. It is designed primarily for vascular applications but also covers a broad range of clinical specialties."

The DC-T6 system features a high-resolution, 15-inch TFT monitor as well as a swivel and height-adjustable control panel. The system's embedded battery, iPower™, provides up to two hours of interruptible scanning when AC power is not available. Its octal beam formation technology strikes a balance between temporal and spatial resolution while the iClear™ speckle reduction technology improves contrast resolution without compromising spatial resolution. The system offers real-time 4D and panoramic imaging. Additional features include Tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) with quantitative analysis, automatic M-Mode, improved cystic clarity and better signal-to-noise ratio as well as fast and efficient storage, review and management of image data using the iStation™ technology.

The DC-7 Ultrasound Enhancements

The company will also be showcasing enhancements for its DC-7 ultrasound system that includes an iPage 3D volume data series, a 3D/4D spatial-cutting tool and a volume scan application for the fetal heart. Adding to the company's expansive array of transducers, Mindray will introduce new CB10-4a micro-convex array and simultaneous bi-plane endocavity transducer for the DC-7 system at the show.

The M7 Ultrasound Enhancements

Mindray will be demonstrating iNeedle ™ on the M7 compact ultrasound platform, a new technology that allows for clear and precise needle detection. It is designed for use during interventional and vascular access procedures. M7's iZoom ™ software enables users to view patient anatomy more accurately from a distance while the iTouch™ feature allows a user to optimize an image with a single touch of a button. Combining these features helps physicians visualize target structures more clearly and easily, thereby improving patient safety by reducing the rate of procedural failures and complications.

"Mindray is committed to providing state-of-the-art technology for better patient care while maximizing return on investment for clinicians," said Thompson. "We will continue to innovate and upgrade our ultrasound platforms so that our customers can capture better economic value from our products while at the same time providing better care for their patients."
