CovalentMedical makes Focus MaculaPro available to general public

Focus MaculaPro is a leading macular health vitamin in the United States and is sold in more retina specialists' offices than any other eye vitamin on the market.  Focus MaculaPro up until now has only been available to patients through their retina specialist.  Now, however, Covalent Medical has made Focus MaculaPro available to the general public.

CovalentMedical, LLC, was started in 2011 by a group of over 400 macular degeneration specialists to manufacture and distribute an affordable, high-quality, physician-recommended macular health eye vitamin called Focus MaculaPro (http://www.focusvitamins.com).  Since that time, Focus MaculaPro has become one of the leading macular health vitamins in the United States and is sold in more retina specialists' offices than any other product on the market. Up until now, Focus MaculaPro has only been available to patients through their doctor's office.  Now, however, Covalent Medical has made Focus Macula Pro available to the general public.

Age-related macular degeneration (also known as AMD) is the leading cause of vision loss for people over the age of 55 in the United States.  The number of patients suffering from age-related macular degeneration, however, is expected to increase significantly over the coming decade.  Fortunately, the National Eye Institute (NEI) says that the risk of vision loss in patients with macular degeneration can be reduced dramatically simply by taking specific eye vitamins.   The NEI-sponsored Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS) showed that the rate of severe vision loss can be decreased by as much as 35% by taking a specific combination of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Copper, and Zinc.   Focus Macula Pro is based on the components evaluated in the AREDS study.
