WellNow Urgent Care, based in Nashville, continues its growth trajectory for 2012 with two new Middle Tennessee clinics. WellNow Dickson is now open following the acquisition and renovation of the former Walk-In Quick Care, according to J. Scott Jordan, M.D., WellNow's Chief Medical Officer. WellNow Dickson is located at 199 Henslee Drive. WellNow Springfield is slated for its opening this summer and is located at 2660 Memorial Boulevard.
Both centers will provide illness and injury urgent care, wellness care services and Occupational Medicine. In addition, Tommy Warmbrod, the former owner of Walk-in Quick Care, has been named Regional Director of Operations for the Middle Tennessee district of WellNow.
"WellNow's company goal is to bring a range of easily accessible care services to patients in underserved markets like Dickson and Springfield. We will be the health care alternative for illness, injury and wellness care when a trip to a doctor's office or the ER is unwarranted or inconvenient. The Dickson and Springfield clinics will provide urgent care treatment for both adults and children over the age of one, in addition to wellness services and Occupational Medicine for area employers," notes Dr. Jordan.
The Dickson and Springfield clinics join five other Middle Tennessee clinics in the WellNow Urgent Care network, including centers in Portland, White House, Hendersonville, Murfreesboro and Nolensville, TN that opened in January. Headquartered in Nashville, WellNow Urgent Care is focused on opening clinics in underserved markets in the Southeast that lack easy access to primary care. WellNow acquires existing facilities and converts them to leading edge urgent care centers ready to serve the area.
The latest WellNow Urgent Care Centers in Dickson and Springfield will treat a wide variety of medical problems and emergencies from sprains, strains and broken bones to gastrointestinal problems, respiratory track infections and more. The clinics offer on-site laboratory testing and X-rays with same day reads in addition to Wellness services including inexpensive flu vaccinations, B12 shots, physicals, and immunizations.
WellNow's Dickson and Springfield clinics will deliver patient care through a mix of primary care physicians, physician assistants and highly skilled nurse practitioners. WellNow's senior management team works with clinic providers, management and staff, creating efficiencies through economies of scale, according to Dr. Jordan. The clinics will also employ physicians and staff from the local areas.
The new WellNow center in Dickson replaces Walk-In Quick Care opened by Tommy Warmbrod. He made the decision to partner with WellNow Urgent Care this year to ensure the continuation and improvement of urgent care delivery to Dickson area residents. The phone number for WellNow Dickson is 615-375-1222. WellNow Springfield's clinic will be a renovated, stand-alone clinic which was also recently acquired by WellNow.
WellNow centers will be open 7 days with extended hours. Walk-in patients are accepted with no appointment necessary and most insurance is accepted.
