FHIT announces strategic partnership with LecturePad

Foundation for Health Improvement and Technology (FHIT), www.fhit.org, has announced a strategic partnership with LecturePad.org, an education web portal for continuous professional development.

By partnering with LecturePad, FHIT will offer Case Consult™ – specialized cases to help clinicians interpret advanced laboratory testing. In addition, FHIT will offer Live Case Consultation, Live Lectures, Free Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses, and Medical Genius – featuring challenging competitions, question database, and activities for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

"LecturePad, which is accessible via desktop and mobile platforms, is always available to inform and educate clinicians through a variety of formats that include clinical news briefs, patient simulations, clinical cases, expert commentary videos, conference coverage, and more," said Dr. Bajet Nour, co-founder of LecturePad.

FHIT, which is designed to rid the world of preventable cardiovascular and related metabolic diseases through educational programs, will use LecturePad.org, to educate the medical community about comprehensive testing that can help physicians detect risk factors that pre-dispose patients to disease at an earlier stage.

"The key to effective prevention is early detection," says Dr. Tara Dall, co-founder of Lecturepad.org and practicing physician. "By taking an aggressive preventative approach, we can really begin to make a dent in this growing pandemic of cardiovascular disease."
