More than 570 pioneering dentists assembled at MDL USA's World Dental Forum

Modern Dental Laboratory USA (MDL USA) assembled a group of 570 pioneering dentists from all over the world to come together at their second-annual World Dental Forum in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China from May 31 to June 3, 2012. Seven different countries were represented at this prestigious event including: USA; Netherlands; Germany; Australia; France; Hong Kong SAR; China.

With a shift in the dental industry toward international integration, the World Dental Forum gave U.S. dentists an opportunity to meet with world-renowned dentists, opinion leaders, and suppliers from around the world.

This year's event featured a remarkable array of distinguished international speakers and topics. Speakers included: Prof. Markus Haapasalo; Prof. Bart van Meerbeek; Prof. Jack Ferracane; Mr. Jozef Ludovic Beckers; Prof. Niklaus Lang; Dr. Paul Miara; Dr. George Freedman; Dr. Joseph Kan; Dr. Ken Zhang; Dr. Michael Burrow; Dr. John O. Burgess; Dr. Daniel Edelhoff; Dr. Joerd van der Meer; Dr. Jack Gerschman. Topics included advancements in: Endodontics; Operative Dentistry; Implant Dentistry; Esthetic Dentistry; Oral Hygiene; Prosthodonics; Digital Dentistry; Oral appliance therapies.

The US Delegation was also led by Dr. Howard Farran (Owner, Founder and CEO, of Todays Dental & Farran Media), Dr. Rhonda Savage (CEO, of Miles Global, formally known as Linda Miles & Assoc.) and John Christensen (Founder and President, of chrisad inc.).

The World Dental Forum included an educational excursion to Modern Dental Laboratory in the world-class manufacturing hub of Shenzhen, China. This excursion allowed dentists to see first-hand how international integration is reaching dentists and patients across the world today. After the tour of the largest dental laboratory in the world, MDL USA hosted a US Delegation semi-formal dinner where Farran, Savage and Christensen addressed the Delegation on practice management techniques and the future of dentistry.
