Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (NYSE: RDY) announced today that it has
launched ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM TABLETS 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg and 80 mg,
a bioequivalent generic version of LIPITOR® (atorvastatin
calcium) tablets, in the US market on July 17, 2012 following the
approval by the United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) of Dr.
Reddy's ANDA for atorvastatin calcium tablets.
The LIPITOR® brand had U.S. sales of approximately $8.07
billion for the most recent twelve months ending March 2012 according to
IMS Health.
Dr. Reddy's Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets in 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg and 80
mg are available in bottle count sizes of 90 and 500.
