Feb. 4-8 designated ‘Pride in Foodservice Week’ by ANFP

February 4-8 is designated "Pride in Foodservice Week" by the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP).

Now in its 22nd year, this recognition week applauds nutrition and foodservice professionals and other members of the nutrition service team for their hard work and dedication to client care.

ANFP is a national not-for-profit association that represents more than 14,000 professional members dedicated to the mission of providing optimum nutritional care through nutrition and foodservice management. ANFP members work in such settings as hospitals, long-term care/senior living centers and correctional facilities.

Nutrition and foodservice professionals are trained in understanding the basic nutritional needs of their clientele, and are responsible for purchasing, storing, preparing and delivering balanced meals, three times a day, 365 days a year.

ANFP members celebrate Pride in Foodservice Week in their facilities across the country in a variety of educational and creative ways -- from developing special menus to collecting food for the needy. This week proudly salutes foodservice departments in community facilities for their professional efforts and vital services given throughout the year.
