Blog features guest posts discussing Rally for Medical Research

The Global Health Technologies Coalition's "Breakthroughs" blog this week featured three guest posts addressing this week's Rally for Medical Research in Washington, D.C. In the first post, Regina McEnery, a writer for IAVI Report and VAX, speaks with several attendees of the rally (4/9). In the second post, Megan Kane, a communications intern with Research!America, and Morgan McCloskey, a global health intern with the group, describe the rally, which "was organized by the American Association for Cancer Researchers in conjunction with its annual meeting and was supported by over 200 partnering organizations" (4/10). And in a third, Karen Goraleski, executive director of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, discusses the rally and says, "Investments in tropical medicine and global health contribute to our nation's security by protecting U.S. borders from emerging infectious diseases and reducing poverty in the developing world, which in turn creates stable countries that provide economic and security benefits for the U.S." (4/11).
