As Neutra Corp. (OTCBB: NTRR) works to deliver new innovations to the U.S. medical marijuana industry, the market for those innovations continues to grow. Last week, lawmakers passed a bill to make New Hampshire the 19th state to approve medical marijuana (MMJ) prescriptions for patients with chronic or terminal illnesses.
“If all or even most of the measures pass as this bill did in New Hampshire, the medical cannabis industry would benefit from hundreds of millions of dollars in new revenues.”
The legislation will make New Hampshire the 19th state to legalize MMJ, in addition to the District of Columbia. Five more states have legislation pending to legalize prescriptions, according to ProCon.org.
NTRR CEO Sydney Jim praised the new legislation on Monday, predicting that more states would soon join New Hampshire in its legalization efforts. Many experts agree: The U.S. MMJ market could hit an estimated $1.7 billion in sales this year and is forecast to climb to $6 billion by 2018 by the Marijuana Business Factbook by MMJ Business Daily.
"About two dozen states introduced some type of cannabis legislation this year," Mr. Jim said. "If all or even most of the measures pass as this bill did in New Hampshire, the medical cannabis industry would benefit from hundreds of millions of dollars in new revenues."
NTRR plans to be well-positioned to capitalize on the incredible growth in the MMJ market in the coming years. Last month, the company formed a joint venture with Field of View Technologies to deliver cutting-edge innovations in smokeless delivery of medicinal cannabis. Soon after, NTRR signed a letter of intent with Vertigo Technologies, LLC, to market and develop products processes that could slash the time and work required to prepare medicinal cannabis for dispensary shelves.
By providing innovative products and services related to MMJ, Neutra Corp. plans to follow in the footsteps of other successful public companies, including Cannabis Science, Inc. (OTCBB: CBIS), Medical Marijuana Inc. (OTCBB: MJNA) and Terra Tech Corp. (OTCBB: TRTC), enabling technological advancements in the cultivation and processing of cannabis in approved markets.
