Elsevier collaborates with EI in organizing first Energy Systems conference to be held on June 2014, London

The Energy Systems conference will present new ways of thinking, required to properly analyze which structures, processes and policy approaches are needed to ensure technology integration and to drive change in investment, looked at in terms of the overall impact of policy initiatives at a system level.

"By organizing this conference together with Elsevier we aim to provide a forum for sharing expertise, developing understanding and providing recommendations on how best to develop the secure, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy system we need", said Joan MacNaughton CB HonFEI, Past President, Energy Institute, and Executive Chair - Energy and Climate Policy Assessment, World Energy Council.

Bethan Keall, Elsevier's Director of Energy Journals, added, "We are delighted to work so closely with the Energy Institute to organize the Energy Systems Conference next year. We see this as a key opportunity to work together with academia, industry representatives and policy leaders to seek long term, integrated solutions for the challenges facing the delivery of energy, both locally and globally."
