Nonprofit organizations should never have to decrease their services due to the economy. That is why Watertree Health, a leading provider of FREE prescription discount cards, is partnering with Make-A-Wish® Arizona to provide financial support for the work they do for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
From now until October 25, 2014, Watertree Health will donate $.50 to Make-A-Wish Arizona for every script discounted through this program. Individuals wishing to take part are encouraged to ask their pharmacy if they are participating. They can also support the initiative and receive significant discounts on brand and generic prescriptions by downloading a pre-activated card at WatertreeHealthCard.com/WishAZ. The card is accepted at Fry's, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, CVS, plus many national, regional and independent pharmacies.
"We are very pleased to be working with Make-A-Wish because their work is vital in helping children cope with illness. It's not just medicine that gets them stronger—it's a positive outlook that gives them the courage to get better," said Matt Herfield, founder and CEO of Watertree Health.
His comments are supported by a 2011 Wish Impact Study, commissioned by Make-A-Wish that proved "a wish come true empowers children," giving them the mental resilience to fight harder against their health challenges.
The impact of a wish can be seen in kids like Kaila, a 12-year-old girl with a life-threatening seizure disorder. She spends a lot of time in her room and wanted a room makeover suited to her personal and medical needs. Make-A-Wish Arizona made that possible. Watertree Health wants to make sure wishes come true for more children all across the country.
Make-A-Wish® Arizona joins the Nebraska (WatertreeHealthCard.com/WishNE) and Central & Northern Florida (WatertreeHealthCard.com/WishCNFL) chapters in this partnership with Watertree Health.
