HMHB's new infographic provides guidance on folic acid consumption for children ages 0-13

National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition (HMHB), a recognized leader and resource in maternal and child health, in partnership with TJL Enterprises, makers of innovative natural health products for families, today released a new informational graphic that provides clinical guidance about the vitamin folic acid, and the recommended consumption for children ages 0-13.

Designed to be easy to comprehend, the "infographic" illustrates exactly what the B vitamin is, what it does, and why it is a critical component of a child's healthy diet. Available for download, online sharing or printing at http://coliccalm.com/folic-acid/, the educational tool includes intake recommendations and meal ideas.

"We are excited to partner with TJL Enterprises to educate all women of childbearing age, pregnant women, and parents about the importance of folic acid for optimal health," said Janice Frey-Angel, CEO of National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition (HMHB). "This effort is part of HMHB's longstanding commitment to supporting preconception, prenatal, and child health, and is especially timely during National Folic Acid Awareness Week and National Birth Defects Prevention Month."

"The synergy in our missions and our passion for educating the public about maternal and children's health resulted in a logical partnership," said Jacqueline Lawrence, President TJL Enterprises Inc. "Together we hope to improve the health and safety of mothers, babies, and families through education that may not be easily accessible. We believe this infographic is an exciting tool that helps achieve that. It is easy to comprehend and offers valuable tips for parents about how to ensure folic acid is incorporated into their family's diet."
