Bunker Vein and Imaging Center is proud to announce its second location, which opened this month in Round Rock, Texas. Dr. Stephen Bunker and his medical team have been treating patients with varicose veins, spider veins and venous disease for over five years in the Central Austin area.
Due to the overwhelming demand of people in need of vein care in North Austin and surrounding areas, Dr. Bunker decided to open a second location at 301 Hesters Crossing, Suite 120, Round Rock, Texas 78681.
A common myth is that varicose and spider veins are only a cosmetic issue, but the appearance of these veins on legs or anywhere on the body is an indication of an underlying medical condition called venous insufficiency. Therefore, most health insurance policies and Medicare cover treatment.
"Austin in particular has a demographic that has two of the highest risk groups for venous disease – Caucasian and Hispanic – with significant visible signs such as varicose veins," says Dr. Bunker. "If vein issues are treated sooner than later, there is a better chance of preventing serious health problems."
