Qardio launches revolutionary blood pressure monitor at 2014 CES show

Qardio, a technology company dedicated to transforming the way we manage our heart health and track our wellness, is formally announcing the launch of the QardioArm at the 2014 CES show. QardioArm is a revolutionary blood pressure monitor.

SMART, BEAUTIFUL, CONNECTED

QardioArm is a smart blood pressure monitor that connects wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet. It is controlled through an app, which automatically tracks your measurements and uploads them to a dedicated cloud service where it can be shared with your family, friends or doctors.

Using QardioArm is simplicity itself. There are no buttons, no displays and no wires, just a sleek device whose design was inspired by a bound notebook. Unwrap it and it switches on, tap it and it pairs with your smartphone or tablet, press "START" and the rest is automatic.

Qardio offers a better way of tracking health that fits effortlessly into people's lives. Our devices are smart, wearable and connected: with wireless communications, integration with Apple's iOS devices, beautiful design and a delightful user experience, our products look like everyday objects that you can conveniently have with you, when and where you like. We believe with our solutions everybody can be smarter about their healthcare.

Whether you are looking for a smarter way to track your blood pressure, or you want to follow and support a loved one, QardioArm is the perfect solution.

PUTTING YOU IN CONTROL OF YOUR HEART HEALTH

"In the market today you can either buy well-designed lifestyle products that offer only "lite" data or proper medical devices that are ugly, desperately user-unfriendly and based on technologies from last century. We knew that it was possible for a device to be serious and yet beautiful and effortless," said Rosario Iannella, CTO of Qardio.

Qardio's focus is on empowering the user and giving them the information and the inclination to be engaged in managing their health and wellness together with their physicians.

LAUNCHING PRE-SALES CAMPAIGN ON INDIEGOGO

The company is launching a pre-sales campaign for QardioArm on Indiegogo to spread the message to the widest possible audience, engage with its customers and to develop a community around its products. Since launch in the early hours of 6 January, the campaign has already generated an extremely enthusiastic response. "There is a incredible demand for change: people want devices that are simpler, more friendly and connected. We are solving an old problem in a novel way and Indiegogo is a unique platform for us to interact and engage with our customers. We are just at the beginning, but we're thrilled by the response and support we are receiving," said Marco Peluso, CEO of Qardio.

Pre-ordering of QardioArm can be done via qardioarm.com on Indiegogo. During the pre-sales campaign, QardioArm will be available at $85. After the campaign, QardioArm will retail for $99.

Qardio is also preparing for manufacturing of the QardioCore, a revolutionary wearable ECG monitor: with QardioArm and QardioCore users will be able to track the key metrics associated with heart health.
