Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) today announced its participation in the American College of Cardiology Conference (ACC) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., where it will present the innovative imaging and informatics solutions that are helping clinicians deliver timely diagnoses and minimally-invasive treatments to a growing cardiovascular patient population.

"Changes to the healthcare landscape are adding pressure to the limited financial and staff resources at hospitals and medical centers and our innovations are supporting a more direct and accelerated path to quality care delivery at an affordable cost," said Gene Saragnese, CEO, Imaging Systems, Philips Healthcare. "Our goal is to ensure that actionable clinical intelligence is easily accessible wherever care decisions are made so that clinicians can quickly and confidently diagnose and treat patients."

The Philips booth (#2039) at ACC 2014 will feature  solutions designed to meet customers' greatest challenges including:

Accelerating time to diagnosis Philips' Anatomical Intelligence delivers new levels of clinical information,  advanced organ modeling, image slicing, and quantification to make exams easier to perform and reproduce. Featured Anatomical Intelligence driven solutions include EPIQ ultrasound, IntelliSpace ECG and the IntelliSpace Portal advanced visualization platform.

Managing dose without compromising image quality – In a field where image clarity is critical to enable accurate diagnosis, products  like AlluraClarity delivers superb image quality at low X-ray dose. Connecting patient-centric information for greater clinical insights – Philips cardiology informatics solutions help to increase workflow efficiencies  by providing one access point to advanced clinical applications, multimodality images and reports.  At ACC, Philips will feature the Xcelera Multi-Modality Image Management, Analysis & Reporting system, Xcelera Cardiovascular Enterprise Viewer and Xper Flex Cardio with Xper Information Management Solution.

Enabling effective, minimally invasive treatment with live image guidance – Minimally invasive medicine is the future of progressive healthcare – shortening lengths of stay, and enabling fast recovery and enhanced outcomes. Philips will show how it's leading the way in live image-guidance technology with groundbreaking solutions including  Allura Clarity, EchoNavigator and HeartNavigator.

On March 29-30 at ACC 2014, Philips will host 14 "Cardiology Talks" sessions in the booth theater area. More than a dozen Philips customers, scientists, and industry thought leaders will discuss key findings, trends, and new ideas that are impacting the cardiology specialty today.
