Anaphylaxis Campaign's special conference to explore issues in allergy care

This special conference for our 20th Anniversary year will focus on providing a full and comprehensive round up of past, present and emerging themes and trends in allergy, care and management. The conference is free to all our Healthcare Professional Members and we are expecting over 70 clinicians in the field of allergy to attend.

Lynne Regent, CEO of the Anaphylaxis Campaign said; “We are looking forward to this important conference next week. We have a packed agenda which will provide our delegates with a detailed update on key clinical research and also on our recent campaigns and work.”

Professor Clare Mills Professor of Molecular Allergology at the Institute of Inflammation and Repair and Manchester Institute of Biotechnology, who is speaking at the conference, added “I am delighted to be involved in this meeting which highlights the close partnership between the Anaphylaxis Campaign, the healthcare professionals and researchers like myself as we all work together to improve the quality of life for those who suffer from allergies.”

Speakers include: 

  • Professor Ian Kimber - Professor of Toxicology, University of Manchester
  • Dr Tina Dixon - Consultant Allergist at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital
  • Hazel Gowland - Anaphylaxis Campaign Food Adviser, expert in allergy risks, researcher and trainer at ‘Allergy Action’
  • Dr Paul Turner - MRC Clinician Scientist, Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Allergy and Immunology, Imperial College London
  • Dr P D Arkwright - Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Allergy & Immunology, University of Manchester and Consultant Paediatric Allergist and Immunologist, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital
  • Professor Clare Mills - Professor of Molecular Allergology at the Institute of Inflammation and Repair and Manchester Institute of Biotechnology
  • Lynne Regent - Anaphylaxis Campaign, CEO

Dr Frankland, the 102 year old world renowned allergist and Honorary President of the Anaphylaxis Campaign is also expected to attend.

To coincide with Allergy Week we will also be participating in a special awareness campaign on Twitter in conjunction with the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology.
