Cortland Capital Market Services opens new office in London

Cortland Capital Market Services, the privately held global financial services firm, today announced the opening of its London office and the appointment of Juliana Ritchie (Juliana Man) as its Head of Business Operations for Europe.

The new London office combined with Ms. Ritchie's appointment signifies a major expansion of Cortland's business activities. Juliana will focus on building business opportunities with investment management and commercial lending firms in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, and the Middle East. Cortland's office opened in March and is conveniently located to the financial heart of London at Juxon House, 100 St. Paul's Churchyard.

Prior to its purchase in 2008 by RBS and Bank of America, Ms. Ritchie was co-founder and Senior Vice President of ABN AMRO's LaSalle Bank Global Trust Services - Europe. Under Juliana's leadership the business grew to the #1 and #2 ranked CMBS and CLO global trustee and was successful in launching ABN AMRO's fund administration company, LaSalle Global Fund Services.

"Cortland clients include many of largest investment managers and private equity firms in the world. Juliana joins us to address their European needs and to find opportunities with new clients throughout Europe," said Tim Houghton, CFA, Principal at Cortland. "Juliana is a proven leader and exceptionally well regarded by the London financial markets. We are very excited to be working together again."

Ms. Ritchie added: "I am excited to become part of the Cortland team and work again with an exciting and growing business. There is a need for a responsive, capable, relationship focused service provider; I look forward to expanding services for current clients and building the business here in London."
