Urgent-MD opens new medical facility in New York City

Urgent-MD Family Urgent Care Centers, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its latest, 4,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art medical facility at 69-40 Main Street, near Jewel Avenue.

The new Queens location - the third Urgent-MD to open its doors - marks Urgent-MD's first expansion into the Five Boroughs of New York City. At this time, two additional locations are already projected to open on Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn before the end of the year. Every new center is modeled after Urgent-MD's first two Family Urgent Care Centers in Nassau County: Urgent-MD-Hewlett at 1220 Peninsula Boulevard, and Urgent-MD-Cedarhurst at 380 Rockaway Turnpike, which opened in June of 2013 and February of 2014, respectively.

"The timing couldn't be better," said Urgent-MD CEO Neil Kugelman. "We're about to celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of our original Hewlett center. Simultaneously launching our third center in Kew Gardens Hills only adds to the excitement and anticipation of entering another year of caring for people in their own communities."

"This [new center] is a tremendous asset for the Queens community," said Dr. Robert van Amerongen, Medical Director of Urgent-MD. "It is our mission to provide exceptional urgent care with both passion and compassion, while remaining true to our guiding principles, which are to strive to promote the safety of our patients and efficiency of our care, while offering each patient not just a satisfactory experience, but a truly 'Wow' experience."

Dr. van Amerongen added that everyone at Urgent-MD looks forward to further benefitting each new local community that they serve - by promoting wellness, providing education, and supporting nearby businesses and communal activities.
