Lincor announces agreement to provide patient experience technology with CarePoint Health

Lincor Inc. today announced an agreement to provide its patient experience technology to New Jersey-based healthcare system CarePoint Health. Under the five-year agreement, CarePoint Health will deploy Lincor's PatientLINC technology across its three-hospital network of Bayonne Medical Center, Christ Hospital and Hoboken University Medical Center.

Lincor's LINC OS platform offers a range of software solutions to help hospitals reach new levels of patient engagement and empowerment by delivering patient services directly to the bedside. CarePoint Health will use Lincor's PatientLINC system across its enterprise to drive better clinical outcomes, reduce readmissions, improve patient satisfaction and increase workflow efficiency.

"Lincor offers us the ability to transform the patient experience and care delivery by integrating the latest in entertainment, patient education and access to our EMR at the bedside," said Steve Goriah, corporate chief information officer for CarePoint Health Hospitals. "In partnership with Lincor we are working to develop innovative ways to improve our patients' experience."

PatientLINC provides access to a suite of interactive services and technology at the point of care via multiple hardware platforms. Clinicians can share charts, scans and test results with patients and "prescribe" educational materials to help increase adherence to post-discharge instructions and reduce unnecessary readmissions. PatientLINC's survey tools gauge satisfaction in real time, its patient portal access helps hospital meet Meaningful Use, and it delivers the variety of entertainment and communication options that today's consumers have come to expect.

"Today's patients are also consumers, and hospitals must now meet the technology standards and expectations that patients and their loved ones bring to the healthcare experience," said Chris Cashwell, senior vice president of global marketing and sales for Lincor. "With PatientLINC, the ability to enhance the experience while focusing on clinical improvements is a win-win, and we're excited to partner with CarePoint to further empower their patients and improve outcomes."
