Dr. Ron Noy, M.D. is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Sports Medicine as a result of his role as Orthopedic Surgeon with Prestige Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, located in New York City.
Dr. Noy specializes in Arthroscopic Surgery of the knee and shoulder, focusing on ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, shoulder labral repairs (for unstable shoulders that dislocate), and rotator cuff repair. He believes that by concentrating on only these few surgeries, he can improve patient outcomes and success. He has developed post-operative protocols for these surgeries that allow the majority of his patients to recover painlessly enabling quicker return to sports and work.
As a result of his vast experience and talent, Dr. Noy is the preferred choice for numerous professional athletes. He has treated members of the Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Islanders, Colts, PGA, LPGA, and AVP, to name a few. Through these experiences, Dr. Noy realized that many retired professionals as well as younger athletes who have not yet made it to the big leagues, did not have access to urgent care. Understanding that ignoring acute injuries could have serious impact, it led him to develop an organization to help these athletes get urgent healthcare. Although this organization no longer exists, he still helps to guide these athletes in finding affordable care when necessary.
He has also served as the head team physician to the Brooklyn Kings (USBL), Harlem Strongdogs (ABA), Baruch College, Wabash College, High School for Arts and Design, and Cathedral High School in Indiana. Furthermore, as a physician, he has covered the 2004 Olympics in Athens, NYC Marathon, Nike Women's Marathon, Rock and Roll Marathons, martial arts championships, Golden Glove boxing, British Open, US Open, and many other tournaments and events.
Dr. Noy has been repeatedly selected for recognition in NY Superdoctors, New York Magazine Best Doctors, Castle Connolly Top Doctors Metro Area, US News and World Report Top US Sports Medicine practice, TopDoc NY, People's Choice, Healthgrades Top Doctors in America, Guide to America's Top Surgeons - Orthopedic Surgery, Best in Manhattan, as well as Guide to America's Top Orthopedists - Sports Medicine.
Dr. Noy earned his BSE in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, and applies his knowledge in engineering to enhance medical care. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons serving as one of their national spokespersons, and serves on the Orthopedic Quality Improvement Committee at Beth Israel Medical Center.
