BioPhotas launches Celluma ELITE for sale to Aesthetic Physician Market

BioPhotas, Inc. today announced the launch of the Celluma ELITE for sale to the Aesthetic Physician Market. The LED therapy device is stand-mounted and able to be precisely positioned over an area of treatment via an articulating arm and a patented shape-taking light panel. Sodrec Medical Solutions, Inc. will be responsible for all US promotion of the Celluma ELITE and have been trained to sell the product through its nationwide sales force.

Commenting on the product launch, Gary Croft, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for BioPhotas said, "The Celluma ELITE is a valuable addition to our product portfolio. The medical professional needs a multi-function LED device and the ELITE meets this need. With Sodrec Medical Solutions focusing primarily on the Dermatology and Plastic Surgery markets, having them as a partner to commercialize this product is a significant step forward for BioPhotas."

Research funded by NASA and DARPA using light emitting diodes (LED) or biophotonic therapy has been scientifically proven in recent clinical trials to up-regulate cellular function in the treatment of many common conditions, restoring the body's natural ability to heal itself. Contrasted to many widely accepted therapies where vital tissue is intentionally damaged to create a healing response, using LED light, "re-energizes" cellular function in a non-invasive manner.

Lyle Martin, Chief Executive Officer of Sodrec Medical Solutions, Inc. added, "We are pleased to be working with BioPhotas, and specifically with the Celluma ELITE. LED therapy can be utilized as an adjunct to many aesthetic procedures as well as being a valuable stand-alone treatment. The Celluma ELITE addresses many needs in an aesthetics practice and we anticipate broad acceptance and use."

The Celluma ELITE uses three distinct wavelengths of light energy, modulated with proprietary algorithms to effectively treat a variety of skin, muscle and joint conditions. The Celluma ELITE is distinct from other light therapy devices given a patented flexible design that contours to the area of treatment, resulting in optimal light absorption and leading to improved efficacy and more predictable outcomes.

On September 25th, 2014, Patrick Johnson, BioPhotas' President and Chief Executive Officer will be speaking on Aesthetics and Low Level Light Therapy at OCTANe's Orange County Summit on Aesthetics and Dermatology, an event sponsored by K&L Gates, The Allergan Foundation, Alphaeon and UC Irvine.
