Arthritis is a condition that affects over 1.1 million people in NSW and over 3 million people across Australia and with an ageing population, that figure is projected to reach 7 million by 2050. Arthritis is a condition which affects people across all ages, backgrounds, men and women alike.
Arthritis & Osteoporosis NSW will be holding a Clinical Update for 2015 for health professionals on Saturday, 2 May 2015. It is a day designed to further the knowledge of health professionals to assist them in providing the best care for their patients.
There are a range of guest speakers presenting on the day including a Physiotherapist, a Dietitian, a Geriatrician, an Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Podiatrist. They will be presenting on topics including gout, enhancing exercise compliance, dietary management of musculoskeletal conditions, osteosarcopenia, shoulder pain and rotator cuff issues.
Jannine Jackson, CEO of Arthritis & Osteoporosis, explains the benefit of attending a day like this.
