Twin Cities Orthopedics joins Deterra partnership program to reduce prescription drug abuse and misuse

Verde Technologies announced that Golden Valley-based Twin Cities Orthopedics, the largest orthopedic group in Minnesota, has become its most recent partner in the fight against prescription drug abuse and misuse. Twin Cities Orthopedics is the first orthopedic group to join Verde's Deterra partnership program, which provides an environmentally and socially responsible way to safely and easily deactivate and dispose of unused prescription medications through the Deterra Drug Deactivation System. Through this partnership program, Twin Cities Orthopedics will provide surgery patients at its Edina location with Deterra System pouches and educational information at the time of discharge to accompany their prescriptions, so they can safely deactivate unused medications in the privacy of their homes. There are plans to expand the program beyond the Edina location in the future.
