Leading researchers, policymakers and health professionals to discuss on obesity, weight loss at ObesityWeek 2015

More than 1,500 research abstracts will be presented on new and emerging obesity treatments, the science of weight loss, new prevention strategies, metabolic surgery, digital health technology and public policy, when thousands of leading researchers, policymakers and health professionals gather for ObesityWeek 2015 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California from November 2 to 7, 2015.

The weeklong conference will also feature the largest exhibit hall of its kind, showcasing the latest innovative products, services and technologies from companies and organizations worldwide.

Leading Organizations Host ObesityWeek 2015

The Obesity Society (TOS), the leading professional society dedicated to better understanding, preventing and treating obesity, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the nation's leading organization for bariatric and metabolic surgeons and integrated health professionals, together host ObesityWeek 2015.

Public Health Keynote Speaker, Nov. 4: Loel Solomon, PhD, MPP, is Vice President of Community Health for Kaiser Permanente's Community Benefit Program. In this position, Dr. Solomon works with health plan and medical group leaders to establish the strategic direction for Kaiser Permanente's multi-faceted approach to prevention and community health and develops national partnerships to advance those ends.

Basic Science Keynote Speaker, Nov. 6: Jan Nedergaard, PhD, is a Professor of the Department of Molecular Biosciences at the Wenner-Gren Institute at Stockholm University and pioneer in brown adipose tissue research. His research conducted over 40 years focuses on how brown adipose tissue affects regulation of energy expenditure and thermogenesis.

Unmatched Continuing Education for Health Professionals and Clinicians

ObesityWeek 2015 attendees can earn more than 30 continuing medical education (CME) credits in sessions spanning obesity surgery, clinical intervention, prevention, research, public policy and more.
