BioPlast Manufacturing acquires Kord-Valmark

BioPlast Manufacturing, a manufacturer of plastic components used primarily for the medical research, clinical diagnostic and biotech environments, announced today that it has acquired Kord-Valmark, a leading manufacturer of quality petri dishes. This acquisition is aligned with BioPlast Manufacturing's strategy to offer clients a platform of products that are designed and tested by scientists for scientists and manufactured with the highest quality.

Kord-Valmark products have a proven track record of producing the highest quality petri dishes in the life sciences marketplace and exceeding customer standards and expectations. Bioplast Manufacturing looks forward to continuing this tradition of excellence synonymous with the Kord-Valmark name. Kord-Valmark products will continue to be released under the Kord-Valmark name, however, the manufacturing process will move to BioPlast Manufacturing's Bristol, Pennsylvania injection molding facility in in mid-2016.

Bioplast is committed to taking an innovative approach to manufacturing in order to continuously improve the Kord-Valmark line of petri consumables. Bioplast intends to increase operational efficiencies to reduce costs and improve order lead times.
